Description
Modern blast furnace with long campaign life will install copper stave as its cooling element in bosh, belly and low shaft area. However, copper is not a good material for wear-resistance and deformation-resistance. The wears caused by burden material or high heat load damage make the stave thinning and leakage. Therefore, blast furnace with copper stave has to focus on its thickness. This study describes a new technology to evaluate stave thickness by using body temperature algorithm. It can monitor thickness real time and comprehensive. The system have installed on site in CSC to monitor the thickness of copper stave.
