Description

CeO2 is a kind of pulverized coal combustion improver which is suited for the Blast Furnace. Combustion mechanism of CeO2 is that Ce4+(CO-)4 weakens bridge adhesion of carbon structural units and alters the lattice structures to lower the activation energy of pulverized coal and accelerate the combustion. Collecting unburned powdered coal by simulating combustion conditions of blast furnace, the result of XRD and SEM pictures is that with the addition of the CeO2, microcrystalline parameters of unburned pulverized coal increases, height and diameter of aromatic slices increase 0.0067nm and 0.0467nm respectively, particle size of unburned pulverized coal reduces 3.48µm, morphological appearance becomes irregular.
