Poster E5. New concepts, materials and technologies for photovoltaic devices (incl. A9) E5_Poster Session

Mr Samuel Porcar Grcía (UJI)

Description

The conference studies the development of Na and K doped ZnO thin films prepared by easy low-cost spray pyrolysis method for photovoltaic thin films solar cells. The resulting coatings crystallize in a single hexagonal phase of wurtzite structure with preferred c-axis orientation along (002) crystal plane. Dense, well attached to the substrate, homogeneous and highly transparent layers were obtained with optimal optical transmittance of 80% corresponding to Na doped ZnO sample. The optical energy band gap of doped ZnO films increase from 3.27 to 3.29 eV by doping with Na and K, respectively.
Very low resistive thin films, bellow 0.05 (Ω·cm), with n-type conductivity were developed as excellent transparent conductive oxide (TCO) for solar cell applications.
